NEPALI MOVIE ON 2016
There were around 40-50 Nepali movies released last year in 2015 A.D. Out of which only 5 or 6 movies were able to do the fine business.It was because of lack of creativity and new stories.
In comming year 2016 A.D,around 45-50 Nepali movies are going to be released.We are hoping almost 50% of the movies will do fine business.It can happen as seems due to introduction of new star cast,new educated directors and new technology

1.Dreams

Resham Filili is a Nepali drama film coordinated by Pranab Joshi. Uma is a new upcoming Nepali movie. There has been many movies made on a decade long conflict in the history of Nepal. The movie has been directed by  critically acclaimed ‘Mukundo’ and ‘Karma’, Tsering Rhitar Sherpa, is going to release a new movie based on the story of a female combatant. The film lead by Recha Sharma features well known actors like Saugat Malla, Mithila Sharma, Prawin Khatiwada, Dayahang Rai, Pramod Agrahari, Pushkar Gurung and Suresh Chand.
Set on the story of early 2000 s when the country was going through one of the biggest conflicts in the history. Its the story of a female combatant. The movie show the circumstances and consequences of being a combatant.The story of the movie, co-written by Tsering with Kumar Bhandari, revolves around the life of Uma, a character based on true incident of a brother and a sister and their ideological differences.  After working for almost a year on the script and a workshop with the actors for more than a month, the shooting of ‘Uma’ started in location at Khopasi VDC, Kavre on November 1, 2012.
The music of the movie is composed by Gopal Yonjan and Abhaya & The Stream Injuns, cinematography by Purushottam Pradha, and the screenplay by Tsering Choden, Kumar Bhattarai and Tsering Rhitar Sherpa.
The movie is produced and directed by Tsering Rhitar whereas its screenplay has been written by Tsering Choden who is also the chief assistant director of the movie, Kumar Bhattarai and Sherpa himself.
During a decade long conflict, many people were missed along with many innocents murdered brutally, leaving many a deep pain in the chest with never healing solutions. These all stories are now hitting the silver screen.

A day before the release of the film, a red carpet premier of the film was held in Kumari theater.The Censor Board of Nepal had found a sex scene in the film unsuitable for the Nepali audience and asked to remove it. But, the film production team thought it was a wrong decision. They released the objectionable scene in internet and asked the viewers to comment on it (read more about the incident in xNepali). ‘Zhigrana’ also features English sub-titles for the people who are not familiar of Nepali language.

The movie ‘Resham Filili’ got a new  wave of publicity because of the catchy tune of one of the songs in the movie. The comedy movie is about a character who wants to go to Qatar for foreign employment and other youths in Nepal. Although a lot of viewers had higher expectations, many admit that the movie was funny enough to enjoy the entire duration of the movie.

7. Woda no.6:-(Cast:-Deepak Raj Giri,Sitaram Kattel,Jitu Nepal,Dayahang Rai,Kedar Ghimire,Shivahari Poudel,Deepa Shree Niroula)
After the success of the hit movie ‘Chha Ekan Chha’, Deepak, Deepa and Nirmal teamed up again to produce another movie with the letter “Chha” in it. The new movie released on Sept 18 is also a comedy themed movie like the previous one. When compared to ‘Chha Ekan Chha’, the director Dinesh DC is replaced by Ujjwal Ghimire, actress Neeta Dhunganais replaced by Priyanka Karki and Sandeep Chhetri is replaced by Dayahang Rai.
The music video filmed on Priyanka, Deepak and Deep had been quite popular in online. The promotional effort of the team had also been good but not as good at the time they promoted ‘Chha Ekan Chha’. The director, Ujjawal Ghimire, had told in an interview that the current movie is the number one movies so far. Initial reviews of the viewers are also positive.

8. Chankhe Shankhe Pankhe:-(Cast:-Sudershan Thapa,Prem Puri,Puja Sharma,Nandita K.C,Pramod Aghakari)
Nepali movie ‘Chankhe Shankhe Pankhe’ was one of the four movies released on September 25. The other three movies release on the same day are ‘Highway to Dhumpus’, ‘Bhale Fight’ and ‘Kaamchor’. The movie previously scheduled to release on May 15 wad postponed after the devastating earthquake of April 25. The movie was also premiered in Bahrain in April, days before the earthquake.

A new movie titled ‘Pardeshi’ featuring ex-Indian Idol, Prashant Tamang and Rajani KC is releasing in theatre in Dashain of 2015.
