2015 released Nepali movies are listed below:-

1. Zhigrana:-(Cast:-Hanna G,Nikun Shrestha,Menuka Pradan,Jyoti Karki,Shanti Giri,Arjun Regmi,Deewarker Piya,Bina Pandey)

 

A day before the release of the film, a red carpet premier of the film was held in Kumari theater.The Censor Board of Nepal had found a sex scene in the film unsuitable for the Nepali audience and asked to remove it. But, the film production team thought it was a wrong decision. They released the objectionable scene in internet and asked the viewers to comment on it (read more about the incident in xNepali). ‘Zhigrana’ also features English sub-titles for the people who are not familiar of Nepali language.

2. Jwala:-(Cast:-Rejina Uprety,Biraj Bhatta,Mukesh)

Nepali movie ‘Jwala’ is a presentation of Anand Films. The cinematographer of the movie was Mahar Khan, editor was Bal Krishna Singh and was made on the story of Panch Akela.

3. Resham filili:-(Cast:-Binaya Shrestha,Menuka Pradhan)

The movie ‘Resham Filili’ got a new  wave of publicity because of the catchy tune of one of the songs in the movie. Because of the better than expected reception of the song, the movie had to be reshot for some parts to meet the expectation of the audience.The movie had had a record advance booking in multiplex theaters in Kathmandu on the day of its release on April 24. The movie had reportedly recovered its investment even before the release by selling the oversea and local rights.

The comedy movie is about a character who wants to go to Qatar for foreign employment and other youths in Nepal. Although a lot of viewers had higher expectations, many admit that the movie was funny enough to enjoy the entire duration of the movie.

4. Hostel Returns:-(Cast:-Sushil Shrestha,Sashi Shrestha,Nazir Hussain,Swastim Khadka,Sushil Sitaula)

5. Bhairav:-(Cast-Nikhil Uprety,Anu Shah,Nagendra Rijal,Rekha Thapa(guest role))

Nepali movie ‘Bhairav’ is the comeback movie of actor Nikhil Upreti after a long absence. Nikhil has also debuted as a director in Nepali film industry.Before leaving the industry, NIkhil was in the peak of his popularity. The initial response of the viewers shows that Nikhil’s craze is still there.

6. Luv Sab:-(Cast:-Samyam Puri,Karishma Shrestha,Saloon Basnet)

The Nepali movie ‘Luv Sab’ was released on September 11, 2015 in theatre. The movie is made on the story of a love story among youngsters.The movie is directed by Dev Kumar Shrestha and is produced jointly by Sushil Pokharel and Narendra Mahrajan.

7. Woda no.6:-(Cast:-Deepak Raj Giri,Sitaram Kattel,Jitu Nepal,Dayahang Rai,Kedar Ghimire,Shivahari Poudel,Deepa Shree Niroula)

After the success of the hit movie ‘Chha Ekan Chha’, Deepak, Deepa and Nirmal teamed up again to produce another movie with the letter “Chha” in it. The new movie released on Sept 18 is also a comedy themed movie like the previous one. When compared to ‘Chha Ekan Chha’, the director Dinesh DC is replaced by Ujjwal Ghimire, actress Neeta Dhunganais replaced by Priyanka Karki and Sandeep Chhetri is replaced by Dayahang Rai.

The music video filmed on Priyanka, Deepak and Deep had been quite popular in online. The promotional effort of the team had also been good but not as good at the time they promoted ‘Chha Ekan Chha’. The director, Ujjawal Ghimire, had told in an interview that the current movie is the number one movies so far. Initial reviews of the viewers are also positive.

8. Chankhe Shankhe Pankhe:-(Cast:-Sudershan Thapa,Prem Puri,Puja Sharma,Nandita K.C,Pramod Aghakari)

Nepali movie ‘Chankhe Shankhe Pankhe’ was one of the four movies released on September 25. The other three movies release on the same day are ‘Highway to Dhumpus’, ‘Bhale Fight’ and ‘Kaamchor’. The movie previously scheduled to release on May 15 wad postponed after the devastating earthquake of April 25. The movie was also premiered in Bahrain in April, days before the earthquake.

9. Pardeshi:-(Cast:-Prashant Tamang,Rajani KC,Naren Khadka)

A new movie titled ‘Pardeshi’ featuring ex-Indian Idol, Prashant Tamang and Rajani KC is releasing in theatre in Dashain of 2015. As the movie releases in theatre, enjoy the old hit movie by the same name featuring superstar Rajesh Hamal and Bipana Thapa. 10. Kabaddi Kabaddi:-(Cast:-Dayahang  Rai,Saugat Malla,Rishma Gurung)

Nepali movie ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ was released on November 27 in theaters all over Nepal with another new movie ‘Jaun Hinda Pokhara’. The social drama / romantic comedy movie is the sequel of the previous release ‘Kabaddi’. The movie ‘Kabaddi’ was liked by the Nepali viewers and had won numerous award in different categories.

11. Jau Hida Pokhara:-(Cast:-Rekha Thapa and Jiwan Luitel )

A movie by director Shovit Basnet, featuring actress Rekha Thapa in leading role, ‘Jaun Hida Pokhara’ is releasing on July 17, 2015. The movie was completed almost two years ago. After the completion of the movie Shovit became busy in two movies ‘Jhilke’ and ‘Teacher’. After the release of his another movie ‘Zanjeer’ Shovit started the charity shows of ‘Teacher’ and forget about ‘Jau Hida Pokhara’.
